So many people are falling in love online these days. Does it REALLY work? Will it work for me?
Those may be questions you are asking yourself if you are in a situation where you'd like to meet someone special, but don't have the time to get out there and do it the traditional way.
I met my husband online 5 years ago! So, yes, for me it's a two-thumbs up experience. I would recommend it to anyone.
I only signed up on one site, an LDS Christian dating site (ldsmingle.org) because I was a little skeptical. I had heard the "stories" and was a little worried.
I found that it was really fun! I put in the exact person I was looking for. The site allowed me to be extremely specific. I put in the age, height, weight, hair color, eye color, personality type, how often he went to church, what his beliefs were... I had my knight in shining armour or Prince Charming all figured out-now to find him!
I met some really wonderful people. I've heard about all these people who put in false pictures and false information, but that wasn't the experience I had at all. I was very careful about giving my personal information out and wouldn't give out my phone number until we had chatted at length and I felt comfortable doing so.
I met a few men in person who flew out to spend time with me and they were just who I thought they were. It was a very positive experience.
It didn't take long and I met the man of my dreams. He not only met the information I put in EXACTLY, but he, himself, was just the man I was looking for.
So, my answer is a resounding YES to online dating.
